Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what personal information this pre-launch WatzContacts website collects and how it is used. WatzContacts for QuickBooks Online is not yet available in the United States; this policy will be expanded once the product itself launches and starts processing QuickBooks Online data.

1. Who we are

WatzContacts is a product of Watz Software, a brand of northbridge-IT, sole proprietorship of Benjamin Wildhirt, Oelsberg 47, 53557 Bad Hönningen, Germany. Email: support@watzcontacts.com.

2. Launch notification signup

If you submit your email address through the "Notify me at launch" form, we store that email address, the submission time, and a one-way hash of your IP address (used only for basic abuse prevention, not to identify you) solely to send you a one-time email when WatzContacts launches in the United States. We do not use this list for any other marketing.

3. How the signup is protected

The signup form validates email addresses on our server, uses a hidden honeypot field to filter automated submissions, and applies basic rate limiting. We do not knowingly store duplicate signups for the same email address.

4. Where signup data is stored

Submitted email addresses are stored in a plain text file on our web server, kept outside the publicly served website directory so it cannot be accessed through a web browser. No third-party database or mailing service currently receives this data.

5. Server log files

Like most websites, our web server temporarily records technical access data (such as IP address, date and time, and the page requested) in log files. This is used only for technical security and stability.

6. Cookies and tracking

This pre-launch website does not use cookies for analytics or marketing purposes.

7. Data retention

We keep launch notification email addresses until we have sent the one-time launch announcement, or until you ask us to remove your email address sooner.

8. Your choices

You can ask us to remove your email address from the launch notification list at any time by contacting support@watzcontacts.com.

9. Future updates

Once WatzContacts for QuickBooks Online launches in the United States, this privacy policy will be updated to describe how QuickBooks Online customer contact data, app account data, and device data are processed at that time.
